Committed to Equipping & Empowering Great Clinicians
Our 12-month Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency Program prepares physical therapists to sit for board certification as an Orthopaedic Certified Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists (ABPTS). We utilize a blended learning format that incorporates online curriculum and weekend lab courses led by recognized leaders in the profession.
Our hand therapy fellowship is a structured educational and clinical mentoring program designed to prepare the practicing clinician for specialization in hand and upper limb rehabilitation. Provided all eligibility criteria set forth by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission are met, fellows may sit for the Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) examination after graduation.
Our 18-month OMPT Fellowship program provides a combination of advanced didactic education and intensive clinical mentorship to guide experienced, board-certified clinicians. Graduates of the program are eligible to apply to become a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists, FAAOMPT.
Take your physical therapy expertise to the next level. BRI creates uniquely exceptional programming by combining world class faculty with the most up to date and relevant evidence informed practice patterns that cover a wide range of eclectic orthopaedic physical therapy. All of our courses are developed by fellowship trained clinicians, are lab intensive and provide a strong focus on clinical reasoning. Our courses are specifically designed to help you utilize these new skills and techniques immediately.
We collaborate with accredited physical therapy and occupational therapy programs to offer students clinical rotation affiliations that provide hands-on experience and the opportunity to learn from leading professionals throughout the region. Our program provides a diverse orthopaedic and neurological caseload, physician shadowing, peer-to-peer interactions, surgical observation opportunities, grand rounds and much more so that interns leave with advanced knowledge in clinical decision-making through the application of evidence-based practice.
